Creating my stained glass pieces.

All the pieces for sale are handmade in my little home studio using traditional methods. 

Each piece of glass is hand cut, smoothed to the perfect shape, and then copper foil is applied.  A thin coating of solder is applied to each piece, then depending on the design each piece is carefully washed and dried. 

The separate pieces are laid out into their final design, any silver wire or beaded embellishments, or hanging rings are placed in position and then these are all soldered together into the final design.  The whole piece then undergoes a further wash and dried with a soft cloth.

In the case of my beaded suncatchers, such as my Birthstone pieces, the beaded links are then attached and finally the silver plated chain and hanging ring are added.  All that is then left to do is to photograph the finished pieces before listing them for sale.
